I bit my lip as I stared at my jeans, tears starting to sting my eyes. It wasn't fair that these jeans were the ones to rip down the leg- it wasn't fair that today was the day I fell of my bike. The cut on my leg and the scrapes on my palms and chin were nothing to the jagged wound on my last piece of you.  
 
I stood up slowly, muscles still shaking from the shock, and took my bicycle with me. I'd officially ruined the only pair of pants of yours that I kept. They were the ones that were too long, and the hems were frayed and worn from constant abuse.

Bah, Music Majors"Hello?" I balanced the phone between my shoulder and my ear in a desperate attempt to keep talking while very carefully buttering toast. From the other end of the line Felicia's melodiously high-pitched voice spilled out.   
"Michael? Yeah, hey, remember how you said I could drag you to the mall and let you meet a few of my friends?" I groaned. Felicia had a habit of picking the worst times to do anything. "I'll take that as a 'Why yes, Felicia, darling, I do remember' and pick you up in about forty-five minutes, okay?"

AngstbucketsThe wreckage was on fire. I stuck my hands in my pockets, caught in awe for a moment. A low whistle- my version of a bowed head- was granted to the ball of warped metal and licking flame. Still, admiration did not fit into my tight schedule. Despite how laid back I was in my work there was always a small window of time to work in.   
After crawling around the wreck site for a few minutes I found her. Clutching a doll to her chest, was Miss Anabelle Lauren Cooke, age seven, staring at the fire with a tear-stained face. I squatted down next to her.   
"Hey, sweetie. Are you alright?" She nodded, stony face not even flickerin Angstbuckets

Regret"And- And the worst part is-" he stuttered, voice slipping into a sobbing hiccup, "The worst part is I just- I feel like I can't go on without him. And each day is worse and worse-" His tangent tapered off there, sadness better left unsaid. Hastily he wiped his eyes on his sleeve, trying to conceal what his voice gave away.   
"There, there," Cassandra crooned, wiping the hair out of her grandson's eyes, "He's not dead, dear. He's coming back." Of course, she was the perfect one to go to- Cassandra was no stranger to the bereft. She gave him a quick embrace before straightening up, running her hands through his hair one last time. " Regret

A Gay Cinderella Story

When Matthias's father is accused of stealing from the family he works for, he gets fired along with his wife, the head housekeeper. Matthias, who is only ten, is desperately in love with the youngest daughter of the family, Eileen, who is just nine herself. However, the families' paths have separated.

Fourteen years later, Jordan, an up-and-coming wizard finds Matthias drunk in a bar. Matthias tells him his story, and also his plan to propose to the Eileen. It is obvious it won't work. However, Jordan decides to help him out and hires him as a servant, in the meantime teaching him how to look and act like a member of the upper crust. With a loan plan to pay back the dowry Jordan is supplying, the stage is set for the proposal.

Warning, gay subtext will most likely abound.

So, who wants in?

I started a filter on my LJ for beta-ing this, and I most certainly would be happy to add anyone on LJ for that, but if you don't have an LJ and would still like to read/critique, I'd be happy to email it to you or some nonsense.

Rhi spends most of her time with her face glued to her computer, and is allergic to telephones when not speaking to her dad or bff Jill. She lives on the outskirts of what was once the capital of Tennessee (for five days) and has since grown into a thriving and very confused metropolis. But she loves her little ginormous town, and she also loves Tennessee, even if she really is the only one. She's been writing since first grade, when she won a trip to the local Young Author's Convention. Since then, no one has bothered to recognize her genius, but she keeps on trucking. Mostly, she's fairly normal, but she also enjoys musicals, so it's debatable.
